Ready, set, go! At the first Design Marathon in Switzerland interdisciplinary teams are competing for the Designathon Award. You and your team have 48 hours to create a design!

Work-Life-Balance, 24/7-Society, Digital Nomads, Burn-Out: How do we shape our work life in the future? The topic «New Work» accompanies the participants through the event. The best projects win. At the end of the event an independent jury evaluates the projects on the basis of a 60 seconds presentation of each team.
The Designathon 15 takes place from 25th - 27th September 2015 at Toni-Areal in Zurich West.

Gert Christen

Gert Christen heads the BlueLion Incubator for ICT and Clean Tech Startups in Zurich as well as the Entrepreneurship education at HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich. In 2013 he founded the Swiss Startupfair, which became the biggest national event for the startup industry. Previously he created the app stores for Nokia in North and South America working closely with developers and studios.

Christian Etter

Christian Etter is heading Etter Studio, a small interdisciplinary design company based in Zurich. Simultaneously, he works as Director for Unit9 in London. He is member of the Advisory Board of UNESCO’s Design21 Association (New York), European member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (New York), as well as chairman of the Digital Arts Association (Zurich).

Céline Fallet

Céline Fallet

Céline Fallet is a swiss crowdfunding pioneer and skilled designer. For her bachelor's degree at the ZHdK in 2012, she created a crowdfunding-guide for the platform wemakeit. Since 2012, she's been working for wemakeit as head of project consulting among other things. Besides, she's involved in various projects in the cultural and creative sector.

Anita Martinecz Fehér

Anita Martinecz Fehér, business economist FH, is deputy head of location promotion at the Office for Economy and Labour Zurich. She supervises the topics Entrepreneurship, ICT and Creative Industry. Location promotion offers people interested in setting up their own business information tools such as the website gruenden.ch. It further provides information and supports Startup initiatives.

Michael Volkart

Michael Volkart a skilled designer as well as founder and managing director of the digital agency Hinderling Volkart. Besides, he‘s a newly minted father, an energetic vespa driver, fearless early riser, chronic scatterbrain, curious networker, meatless gourmet and sometimes a dreamy rover.

Hansuli Matter

Prof. Hansuli Matter is Head of the Departement Design at the Zurich University of the Arts as well as Member of the Executive Board of ZHdK. He has a Master of Science in Architecture ETH and many years of experience in architecture and design. He has worked for various architectural offices, among them Herzog & de Meuron, furthermore the ETH Zürich.
